Late in the afternoon of Sept. 5, 2023, officers were called to the back of the 800 block of North Fremont Avenue to probe reports of a dead body that was found in the area.

Upon arrival, members of the Baltimore Police Department found the unidentified remains of a person who "appeared to have been (there) for some time."

The body was then transported to the Medical Examiner's Office, where it was determined that the manner of death was a homicide by stabbing, though they have been unable to identify the victim.

"In light of the condition of the victim's remains, homicide detectives are seeking assistance in establishing the victim's identity."

To further their cause, the department released an artist's rendering of the victim on Tuesday, Nov. 5 (see above).

Anyone with information regarding the person in the sketch or the ID of the victim has been asked to contact homicide detectives by calling (410) 396-2100.
